Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS)

The Queensland Community Support Scheme (QCSS) provides low intensity supports to assist consumers to continue to live independently, increase connections and participate in their local community, thereby reducing social isolation.  QCSS may be of assistance if you are affected by circumstances that impact your ability to live independently at home or participate in the community.

QCSS can assist to:

  • Improve your capacity to self-manage and live more independently in your home.
  • Reduce social isolation through opportunities to connect with others and participate in your local community.
  • Link you with formal and informal supports and services in your community to best address your needs.

MultiLink may be able to support consumers who access this program with personal care, such as showering and dressing; planning and preparing meals; household chores; and essential yard maintenance to ensure safety in access and mobility around the external environment of the home.

You may be eligible for the QCSS if you:

  • Are under 65 years old (or under 50 years old for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people) and
  • Not eligible for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

Community Transport Program

The Community Transport Program supports people who have trouble accessing transport options to get around their local community.

You may have trouble accessing transport because of:

  • Where you live.
  • Your financial situation.
  • Disability, mental health, or chronic health conditions.

You may be eligible for the Community Transport Program is you:

  • Are under 65 years of age.
  • Have no or limited access to other transport options, including public or private transport or transport funded through other funded/subsidised schemes.
  • Are an unpaid carer, travelling in your role as a carer.
  • Are not receiving transport services for the same or similar purpose under another government program i.e., the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), School Transport Assistance Scheme (STAS), Commonwealth Aged Care Programs (including CHSP and Aged Care Packages), or Queensland Health Patient Transport Services.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) 

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports people with a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to take part in everyday activities. The NDIS provides funding to eligible people with a disability to gain more time with family and friends, greater independence, access to new skills, jobs, or volunteering in their community, and have an improved quality of life. The NDIS also connects anyone with a disability to services in their community, putting the participant at the centre of their own decision-making process on how they want to live their life, supports they would like, and choosing who will deliver them.

MultiLink Community Services is a Registered NDIS Provider (No.4050005298) which supports people who have a permanent and significant impairment; this includes intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive, and psychosocial, with the reasonable and necessary supports they require to live and enjoy their life. This support covers the geographic areas of Logan, South Brisbane, Redlands, and the Gold Coast.

MultiLink Community Services is registered to provide the following supports:

  • Assistance with Self Care Activities
  • Assistance with Household Tasks
  • Participation in Community, Social and Civic Activities
  • Centre Based Group Activities

    Other services may be available to support Plan Managed and Self-Managed recipients such as Support Coordination.

    MultiLink Community Services is a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) organisation that can provide support staff that speak a variety of different languages.  MultiLink Community Services also has access to language supports and external translation services such as Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS).
